Workshop on Composite Materials: State of Art and Future Prospects

The VIBES and BIO-UPTAKE projects recently co-organized the workshop “Composite Materials: State of Art and Future Prospects,” hosted by the University of Limerick, on May 3 2024. This event brought together leading experts to explore the future of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) products, commercial directions, and the integration of composites in the automotive and aerospace industries.

With a blend of in-person and online participation, the workshop saw 30 attendees on-site and 25 more joining virtually. The discussions were vibrant, featuring distinguished members from both industry and academia. Topics centered on the latest advancements in composite materials and their crucial role in the shift towards a biobased economic model.
