The VIBES project marked an important moment as consortium partners engaged with external stakeholders during the second roundtable meeting, held on November 14, 2024. Hosted at AITTIP’s premises in Zaragoza and accessible online via MS Teams, the meeting brought together 27 participants, including six members of the Stakeholders’ Board, for fruitful discussions on progress, achievements, and future strategies.

Moderated by Q-PLAN, the roundtable began with an overview of the project’s objectives and highlights, presented by the project coordinator. Key partners showcased advancements in sustainable thermoset composites, including upscaling best components, innovative recycling technologies, and strategies for exploiting project outcomes. Special focus was given to the development of recyclable thermoset composites, technical validation in industries such as aeronautics, construction, and naval, and the recovery and upcycling of composite components.

Interactive discussions explored the potential of biobased materials for thermoset composites, debonding technologies, and their alignment with EU bioeconomy and circular economy policies. The meeting provided valuable insights to shape future R&D collaborations, involving key industrial players for pilot implementations and tailored solutions to meet diverse sectoral needs.

This collaborative roundtable highlights the dedicated efforts of the VIBES consortium to drive sustainable innovation and foster impactful partnerships.
